Is it still true that the Swiss Franc is the only currency still backed by gold? Is it still a good currency to hold as a hedge aggainst inflation? Thanks for your reply.

You are okay with a Swiss Franc if you live in Europe, but you would do fine buying U.S. Gold Coins here in America as a hedge against inflation.
