Maybe because of the variety of cultures in FMA's, but I haven't been able to get any real clear answers on other forums on this issue.
Are there any 'codes of conduct' or philosophical/spiritual goals tied into FMA practice like there are in other systems such as Shaolin and some other arts?
I know in the States many people preach about the philosophy of martial arts, but I see very little true, clear or verifiable connnection in most schools.
With my own background, there was no claim of martial philosophy other than any Boy Scout/Citizenship program would preach. Courteous, Kind, Honest.
Add to that a working understanding of the law and self defense and that was about it.
