An online order form will be created by the end of the week in order for you to obtain a copy of Sifu Tom Bolden's video. The price is $29.95. It is an excellent video unlike any other. If you would like immediate processing before the end of the week, please send an inquiry to destechpress@verizon.net. I will get back to you on Thursday or Friday.

Hello hd:
Thanks for the positive comments regarding our video clips. I think that some clarification needs to be made regarding exactly which AMAA video is currently available. The video from which the clips on this forum were taken has not yet been released. This video should be available soon. However the original ground breaking 1995 video (VHS) "The World of American Modern Arnis" (The Art, The Science, The Spirit) has been recently remastered & released on DVD because of popular demand. This DVD is now available for $29.95, and can be purchased as per the previous post by Admin. Again thanks, Tom Bolden This message has been edited. Last edited by: Pundador, |

Sifu Tom,
Thanks for the compliment of using my demo of the Sayow. I remember the viewing of "Spirit" at my old school, it was great. |

While I was talking to Jerome he suggested that I make this point here.
Sayow: One thing I emphasize when I practice and teach the sayow is that the attacks are coming from 3,9,12,6 and such but you should be stepping on the XYZ;30's to reinforce angled footwork patterns. It is easy to fall into patterns of linear motion if you don't concentrate on this point about the form. If the attack is coming from 3:00, then you step to either 1:30 or 4:30 when you practice the applications. I like the form because it is useful as a training tool. Reverse it, start at different points and flow through it until you end up back where you started and not just the "Beginning" of the form. Do it the mirror/opposite side.... It teaches right/left brain coordination and adaptiveness. |

Hi Paul,
Great job presenting/demonstrating the Sayaw & thanks for highlighting & sharing some of the benefits that you have experienced by using it as a training tool! Short dance, so much there! This message has been edited. Last edited by: Pundador, |
